Innovate UK 2014: the global spotlight on UK innovation

London (United Kingdom) will host Innovate UK 2014: the global spotlight on UK innovation on 5 – 6 November. The United Kingdom’s leading innovation event will allow participants to discover the vital funding, support, and connections that help grow innovative businesses.

More than 180 speakers and 2000 participants from sectors including government, business, and research are expected to attend from the United Kingdom and abroad, establishing a valuable networking platform for innovators.

eBF conference in Czech Republic

The international eBF conference annually hosts the most influential experts in eAuctions from around the world. This year's tenth anniversary conference will be held between 5 and 7 November in Ostrava (Czech Republic). Participants are invited to learn the strategies and tactics of both the world's largest companies, and the smaller, regional players, in selecting suppliers. A key topic will be using eAuctions for reclaiming the public space.

This year, the eBF will host fifty programme blocks, including the European eProcurement Meeting and the Fair Sourcing Awards (FSA) ceremony, which will close the event. The PROebiz training centre will be used throughout the first two days for specialist meetings and eAuction training.

Coordination, procurement and innovation for value and quality in health and welfare

Eindhoven study visit on public lighting and interactivity

The study visit will focus on the inspiring qualities of light and the potential economic and social benefits that interactive light displays and light festivals can achieve.

Participants are invited to exchange with the innovative procurers involved in ENIGMA and learn from the experiences of the citizens of Eindhoven by interacting with the city’s new illumination systems.

The study visit will be followed by a one and a half day work shadowing visit during which a maximum of two representatives from European municipalities will be able to interact with their peers in Eindhoven on public lighting innovation. This is a unique opportunity to gain insight into the inner workings of a pioneer city and to exchange with cross-departmental teams including lighting, procurement, legal and cultural experts.

Participation in this event is only available to municipal employees from European cities and other public authorities.
