FIRED-uP Final Conference

London, United Kingdom

The FIRED-uP project is holding its final conference in London (United Kingdom) from 7 - 8 July 2015. FIRED-uP is a project focussing on improving the environmental performance of fire service fleets, and is a partnership between the City of Ghent (Belgium) and London Fire Brigade. Participants will include those working in emergency services and public procurers.

The conference will mainly take the form of three parallel sessions to find out more about and discuss the results of the project. These take the form of the outcomes of the pilot study and how participants can access the technology, demonstrations of the vehicles used in Ghent, and a demonstration of London Fire Brigade's telematics systems.

Participation at the event is free of charge and includes a reception at London City Hall and a catered lunch. To see the full programme, click here.

PROBIS market engagement event

Turin, Italy

The Italian city of Turin has published a prior information notice (PIN) for the maintenance of a city-owned building, and will host a market engagement event on 15 July 2015. Turin is collaborating with the PROBIS project to procure innovative refurbishment solutions, in this instance a high-efficiency lighting system, an innovative energy management system, and an indoor climate control system that includes mechanical ventilation.

The event will inform attendees about the characteristics of the building outlined in the tender, and will open a dialogue with market operators on the performance requirements stated in the PIN and Prospectus.

The EU-funded PROBIS project supports the procurement of innovative solutions to increase the energy efficiency and sustainability of European public buildings.
