The European Commission's DG CONNECT has released an update version of its brochure "Innovation Procurement: The power of the public purse - EU-funded projects in the ICT domain."
The brochure features the results of the first EU-funded joint cross-border Pre-Commercial Procurements (PCPs) as well as a compilation of completed and ongoing PCP and PPI ICT projects under the sectors of Health, Transport, Energy, Water, Education, Public Administration and Safety.
The resource will be of value to public procurers and officials looking for ideas on how different societal challenges can be addressed using innovation procurement. The Commission regards PPI and PCP as dual strategies in a demand-side effort to capitalise on innovation while modernising and improving public services.
